Plot
Master-less samurai Ihei Misawa (Akira Terao) and his wife Tayo Misawa (Yoshiko Miyazaki) are staying at an inn (mostly lower class) during a rain storm. Everyone is waiting for the rain to end and the river to go down so they can cross. The samurai is a gentle man who tries to help others as they wait. A local lord then considers him for a job in his castle.
