Plot

Family drama in the finest Ozu tradition, although 24-year young debutant director KINOSHITA Yusuke gives the genre a very personal, contemporary twist. Once she decides to meet her endearing younger half sister Yu, the life of middle school student Minako suddenly takes an unexpected turn. Within beautifully framed shots, an enticing story unfolds about bickering parents, surrogate parenthood and youthful human resilience.
