Plot

Shinzo Egi (Koji Yakusho) is an asthma sufferer who does not want to be place on life support. As a last request, Shinzo Egi asks his doctor Ayano Orii (Tamiyo Kusakari) if she could follow his wish. Doctor Ayano Orii is then questioned in a criminal case because of her decision.

Notes

1. Movie is based on the short story “Tsui no Shintaku” (literally "The Final Request") by attorney/author Saku Tatsuki.
2. Filming runs from October through mid-December, 2011. Shooting location occurs in Kitakyushu & movie studio.
3. Director Masayuki Suo, actress Tamiyo Kusakari & actor Koji Yakusho previously worked together in the 1996 film "Shall We Dance?".
