Plot

In a rural village, without warning, Soroku is ravaged by a bizarre disease that festers his skin and deforms his body. The villager soon hears about this and Soroku becomes ostracized and his sister, Haruko, is viciously assaulted. Soroku's parents reluctantly determine to end Soroku's misery themselves, while Haruko tries to save her brother and escape from the confines of the house… but to what end ?
