Plot
Unmarried 50 year old Minako (Yuko Tanaka) leads a quiet life, working at a supermarket and delivering milk locally. At night she finds solace in novels, her only escape from her dreary daily existence. Keita Takanashi (Ittoku Kishibe) works for the local government and nurses his wife, Yoko, who is dying of cancer. One day Minako delivers milk to Keita’s house and recognises him as her first love from high school and their lives take an unexpected turn.
