Plot
Historical drama "King Geunchogo" follows the life King Keun Chogo (346-375), who led Baekje (one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea) to its greatest state.

I'm watching the series everyday at home and i realize that it was an exciting film so i really enjoy it...............i admire all the characters and it help me to visualize korean culture........keep it up for the movie i love it all

The King of Legend is one of the best movies I have ever watched. Roots doesn't even compare to this epic. They are completely different in every way.
The King of Legend is amazing. The only complaint I have is that I wish it would have been on every night. It should definitely win some awards.
It had me riveted each week and I could not wait until the following weekend. Everything is wonderful about this presentation from KBS. The actors are all fantastic, the writing is exceptional and the costumes and scenery is captivating. I hope it is shown again very soon and I wish KBS would show exactly where we can buy this TV series with the English subtitles. KBS movies are so good, I am watching this station more than any other and although I do not speak Korean, I am learning it slowly and want to know more. I loved Babyface Beauty and I love My Bittersweet Life. The subtitles really help. KBS is a very professional station. Good going!!

Commenter 18, what an insult to Roots, this drama is good but root was factual with and not psudo drama. I agree its capitivating but nothing can surpass roots for its grandieur, and factual content.

This is the most exciting and absorbing docu-drama I have seen on television since "Roots". It is absolutely absorbing. Does anyone know if the book it is based on is in print, in English? I would love to read it. :)

I am hooked as well. I stumbled onto "The King of Legend". Wow! I wish I could watch the episodes I missed. Any advice? Wish it was a book.

Very entertaining. It is almost as good as Jumong and the Kingdom of the Wind. There are many veteran actors from Yi San, The Kingdom of the Wind, and Dong Yi. Love to see them in this drama.

Me n my wife are hooked on Korean dramas...historical story that is very interesting n professionally done like the king of legend say much about Korean film industry n thank you kbs...wish the episodes will be screened everyday instead of just sat.n sun....hehe

I was watching the show regularly but as usual with Korean shows, it's so slow and it's on KBS only during the weekend. So I keep up with it by reading forums on Korean dramas...cool people who write spoilers. I am up to the episode where Yoegu's son with Yeohwa entered the palace.
While I think everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, but Korea and Israel are similar? I didn't know there are refugee camps housing millions of people who were terrorised out of Korea. Some imagination.

This is really good. Has some of the great actors of Korean film. Series like this is the one reason family and I got hooked, line and sinker on Korean movies and TV. Like everyone we wait for an episode, then wait for the beautiful sound of Korean to be translated. Then I download it from Daddicts.com and the subtitles from S2(of course). Last step is I record it from computer to DVD so that the family can watch on the TV.
Even as I live in Phoenix, our story is so similiar. We are all brought together through the Saguek(historical drama). Because of the Saguek I have learned a small amount about Korea. My prayer would be that one day China can keep its paws to themself and let Korea be united. There are many peoples and countries that have sadness. Korea and Israel have great similarity in that they were both on the crossroads where big powers travelled on the road to raping and pillaging. Small in size, yet there is great beauty in what their people create and the stories they tell to the rest of us. King Geun-chogo is fun, we all enjoy it and it reminds me how important culture is!! I have watched several Korean historical dramas and I think this series is one of the better ones. The script is well written and the dialogs are interesting and sometimes humorous. My family and I look forward to watching the show every weekend.

I have been watching this in Arizona. It is quite a tale, but has too many characters and too many small kingdoms, clans, royals, nobles, and assorted lands and places for my feeble brain to keep track of. I appreciate the occasional information about who is who but that is all in Korean, which I don't speak at all. Still it is interesting so I like it.

Me n My wife are from Imphal,Manipur..a small state of India...we love KBS...you won't know but KBS is a super duper hit in my hometown...My wife is a fan of Rain and coming to the point i am following this drama THE KING OF LEGEND very religiously....why don't they broadcast everyday...waiting for yeogu to become the king...keep up the Good work...

This drama like the others I have watched is filled with the pains and struggles for power. Korea seems to have endured alot of trials to maintain its culture and history. This drama reminds me of "Land of the Wind" in regard to the son being abandoned only to be brought back to ensure the kingdom's security. I am enjoying it.
