Plot

3 months ago. Miku (Aoi Morikawa) became sick and couldn't do anything, but sit on the stairs of a playground at her school. At that time, a male student took her to the school infirmary. Miku fell in love with the boy, even though she never saw his face. The only thing Miku can recall of the boy is the touch of his hand. Miku believes that boy is part of her fate.

One day, Miku goes into a classroom and sees a male student and female student kiss. Her eyes meets the eyes of the boy. Later, her friends tell her that popular male student Sohei (Yuri Chinen) is looking for her. Sohei then comes to see her and tells her that he will be staying at her home. Back at her home, Miku complains to her parents that she doesn't want strangers staying with them, but plans have already been made. Miku's father is retired and this is a source of income for their family. Besides Sohei, three other people will stay in their home which will now double as a boarding home. The next day, Sohei moves into Miku's house and Sohei's friend Hayato (Jesse Lewis) comes to her house to help Sohei. Miku is surprised to make the connection that Hayato is the boy she saw kissing in the classroom. The other two people moving in is a female college student and a male college student. Miku isn't happy with the situation at all.

At school, Miku asks Sohei to keep their living arrangement a secret. Miku knows that Sohei is the most popular boy at school and she doesn't want to become a target of the other female students.

One day, Miku becomes incredibly upset. Sohei uses her cup, the male college student breaks her favorite bell and the female college student eats her ice bar without asking. She says at the dinner table that she didn't want to live with the others and leaves. Suddenly, Sohei excuses himself and rides a bicycle to his mom's house. It takes him more than 2 hours to get there. Late at night, Miku finds Sohei laying down on the wooden floor. She also finds a new bell hanging on the ceiling. Sohei tells her that he went to his mother's to retrieve that bell. Miku knows how far away Sohei lives and feels sorry for the way she acted. She tries to make things up by getting water for him, but she trips and falls. Sohei reaches out and Miku grabs his hand. At this moment, Miku realizes that Sohei is the one who carried her to the infirmary. Fate? The next morning, Miku finds a girl named Miyuki (Fujiko Kojima) in her garden. Miyuki asks to see Sohei and Sohei opens a window and shouts out that Miyuki is his girlfriend.

This is good! Although I know Sohei and Miku will end up together, I still ship Hayato-Miku tandem!

Annoyed with the first 3 comments who unnecessarily made the best spoiler ever. You should change the synopsis and place their comments instead.

Anyhow, I watched the series in one seating and I am captivated with Chinen again :") OMG! I cannot believe he resembles Yama-chan now and he's all grown up. Those broad shoulders and very fit physique, there's nothing not to love about him. Plus, I like the simplicity of the drama wherein it only focus on simple high school love affair and fate. Oh I love jdrama for they believe in fate. Hihi. For some reason despite the cliche type of plot, I loved the series and would definitely watch it again. It's very light and gives that first love feeling.

    I. Love. This. Drama.
At first I was a bit skeptical about watching this because it looked kind of cliché to me. But since it had Chinen Yuri and Tanaka Juri in it, I tried it out :). During the first episode, I was actually going to quit. I didn't like the main girl character at all. I don't know if it was just her acting skills or her character, but she was really awkward. But me being me, I had to finish it since I hate to give up on dramas. I'm glad I didn't quit because it started to get really interesting after episode 3. I started LOVING Lewis Jesse! He's so cool and adorable!!

I thought the ending wasn't that good. Mainly because i don't understand why the hell would both the couples break up, and yet, Miku and Sohei not get together until a year later. That was strange because they barely talked for a year, yet suddenly their friends talking them into confessing to each other? I mean REALLY?

I still hate the main girl character. Too awkward... Sohei's girlfriend too. She was so damn clingy. I'm just like "YOU'RE NOT GOING TO DIE IF HE BREAKS UP WITH YOU..."
    I gave this drama 8.5/10

I actually loved this drama. The pacing was pretty good, and the ending was well executed. I give it 9.5/10 stars. The only thing I didn't like was that I wished they used a variety of songs, rather than the same one every 5 minutes. Also, I'm not sure if this was intentional, but some of the camera work was shaky. But overall, great cast & acting! I wish it was longer though ^.^

I'm liking it so far. Been long since i've seen anything like this. I'm a sucker for high school romance, and i think the Japanese does it best. I like how the girl is not uber pretty.

I really like this drama but why isn't anyone rooting for Miyuki, i mean i know shes not the main character here but is there really no one watching this drama and is actually wanting Miyuki to be happy with a guy?
Sorry if I annoyed anyone or anythin but thats just my opinion.

I was VERY excited to see Chinen Yuri in here!!! He have grown so much!!! And is he so handsome now!!! Fine young man. >///< ANYWAY!
I was also happy to see a simple jdrama romance, since they are so rare to find these days [it's like all mystery dramas and whatnot]!!! I liked it even more how they got it from a manga! I love it when movie extended from books, stories, and mangas!!! ^u^
BUT! There was some things that ANNOYS me, in this drama.

First of all, the main girl kind of sucks at acting. She pretty, but at times, her haircut makes her head look like a turtle [no offense]. I saw a lot of new faces in this drama and I gotta say, they need some more training in acting. By far, Chinen was the best actor in this drama, the rest were lacking. I'm not saying it was crap, but they could do better. The weird walking scenes looked very scripted and uncomfortable. Some of the actors even had monotone voices. SMH. Plus, the main girl's attitude in the first epi was ANNOYING! Acting like a spoiled brat! How can she be mad when there's CHINEN YURI living in the same house as her??? Many girls would die to be in her shoes! [I know it's the storyline but…] Shoot! Just made me mad. X@

Next, I'm an amateur video editor but I still found A LOT of bad editing with this drama. They seriously need to get the video editor replaced. There were background noises that didn't go smoothly together and some of the scenes looked awkward. The scenes put together wasn't smooth and didn't look finished. Some shots were unnecessarily long and some were too short. The flow was way off. If even I can catch these errors, they need more work with the editing.

In addition, the camera work was also weird and bad! The close up face scenes DOES NOT match the whole body shots! It was weird and amateurish. It look like something I would do! So thumbs down for camera work.

And I've always disliked the cameras that jdramas use. It's very old tech, and I think they need to put more effort into getting higher quality cameras. I know it's kind of their signature move with those camera quality, but I think it's time to step it up a notch [referring to most jdramas].

Finally, the storyline was also very typical. I can tell right away who her fated man was. Not going to spoil it but he was wearing a [achem] black watch [achem]... Yet again, I'm saying all this just because I've only watched the first epi and these were all the things I caught. So maybe it will get better, but I still got to say the first epi wasn't really… Well done…

HOWEVER!!! After the things that probably annoys ONLY me, I do find this drama intriguing and will continue to watch it. Hopefully the storylining, filming, editing, and acting gets better as the drama finishes.

HAYATO IS SOO HAWWTT! lol.... its true... and he has good intentions! So hes hawt and genuinely likes her! Frustrating, BUT I understerstand Miku... If I liked someone, I think I would feel as if I was cheating on my crush and also that I started a relationship I didn't want.
