Plot
Released from jail, Che reunites with his younger brother Ren, who is becoming involved with the local gang, and their Japanese father, reappearing as a Yakuza captain after a twenty-year absence. A story about revenge and familial resentment in a once prosperous fishing town reveals, people trapped between conflicting worlds - generational, social and national. The lingering resentment over Japan's colonisation of the island adds an undertone of hostility that eventually erupts as tragic violence. Languidly photographed the calm images belie a tension waiting to explode.
