Plot
Set in 19th Century rural China, "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan" follows two women and their unforgettable relationship using a secret language, while overcoming harsh settings placed upon all women at that time.
Notes
- Cast will speak in English.
- Actress Qi Shu was first chosen to play character Nuri, but declined the role due to risque content (female love scenes & nudity).
- Due to scheduling conflicts with Kar Wai Wong's "The Grand Master," actress Ziyi Zhang had to pull out of "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan". In her place actress Bingbing Li will take on the co-lead female role.
