With her acting skill and charm, she becomes a rising star in Asia. Since she acted for the Korean drama "Dae Jang Geum" as one of the main characters, she has gotten extremely popular in Asia.
The drama was such a success that several countries had re-runs of the drama shortly after the last episode had ended. In Hong Kong, the last episode had almost half of the Hong Kong population staying at home just to watch it. In China, hundreds of million viewers watched the drama even if it was shown late at night. As a participant of the Korean Wave, she also starred in the Taiwan drama "Silence" with Vic Zhou, a member of F4, the popular Taiwanese music group.
After her debut, she has mostly worked on TV. But now, worked with a director Hong Sangsoo as his muse, she starts to expand her talent to the screen.

Really surprised to know that she has been working with Director Hong Sang Soo as his muse. But why she isn't appearing in Hong Sang Soo movies? She was really good in 'Night & Day'......natural beauty and natural acting....
