I don't understand, IMO, it seems like she wasn't really popular (got leading role) in Japan and she even act in Korean drama (it doesn't mean bad, but usually it's korean celeb that act in Japan since Japan larger than Korea).
Her beauty can be compared to Nozomi Sasaki or the current it girl Takei Emi.
They are looks like mixed girl. She even got to acted since long time ago. Maybe she just love Korea, maybe....

LOL! Just saw her in ep 2 of General Rouge no Gaisen/Team Batista 2 drama and was like "...why does she seem so familiar...?? why?????" and searches on the drama revealed no series that I've seen before that had her in it.

And then I realized she was in DBSK/Tohoshinki's Doushite MV. NO WONDER! XD
