Bio
Born 1970 in Osaka, Imai graduated from School of Education at Kyoto University. She is a member of Japan Writers Guild. Her script Pakodate-jin won awards at Hakodate Harbour Illumination Film Festival and subsequently made into a feature film of the same title. Yukidaruma no shi won top prize at Hoso Bunka Foundation. Her writing credits include Japan-Iran co-production The Wind Carpet (2003), Japan-US co-production Jenifa (2004), Helen The Baby Fox (2006) and Angel's Egg (2006).
