Lotte Entertainment is a subsidary of the Lotte Group (the 5th largest conglomerate/chaebol in South Korea). In the area of film, Lotte Entertainment has largely focused on distribution (maintaining film distribution channels, managing ads in theaters, determining the timing of distribution, executing payments and so forth). Lotte Entertainment does also invest in film production (their most recent production was the South Korean film The Taming of the Shrew.
