Plot

I finished this and OMG! I have to say the final stage is the best! But wish they kissed at the end :/ sadly they didnt! But oh well there will be another one in 2012 "Liar Game REBORN"!!! CANT WAIT!!!! But theres gonna be a new actress :/ wish Toda is still there :( but hope it's gonna be good! Cant wait!

1. Each player in the majority after each vote will earn 1 million dollars while each player in the minority after each vote will lose 1 million dollars (no one vote Red apple & everyone did not vote the same apple)
2. Everyone vote the same type of apple, all Gold/Silver apples, everyone will lose 1 million dollars
3. Everyone vote Red apples, everyone will earn 1 million dollars
4. More than 1 person vote Gold/Silver apple & more than 1 person vote red apple, those who vote Red apples will lose 1 million dollars while those who vote Gold/Silver apples will earn 1 million dollars
5. 1 person vote Gold/Silver apple while the rest of the people vote Red apples, the person that vote Gold/Silver apple will earn 2 million dollars while the rest of the people will lose 1 million dollars

it's frusterating just reading all these comments about how cool it is, and what happened while we haven't watched one bit of it!!! especially with the part when akiyama was SO close to Nao-chan, and Nao was so shocked!!! i can't wait anymore!!! the first liar game was interesting, and i didn't know that there was a second season -because the site didn't say anything- but i JUST looked it up yesterday, and i found it. i was like WTF!!!!! and finished it ALL today. Orz \(O.O)/

I. LOVE. LIAR. GAME. The movie was amazing! Kept me on my toes! Unlike other things, that have obvious villians. NaoxAkiyama is cute! My favorite drama, ever. It has... the action, unlike the horror or romance ones. I can't say anything else, except, again:

my thoughts: i also wanted a romance between the two of them!
so does the line "Can you live with that? My lies?" cover the romance category? LOL
it sounded as if Akiyama was willing to stay, contradicting Nao's 'feeling' of him disappearing.
i knew a romance is near impossible coz it doesn't fit the 'mood' of the story so...
yeah, another drama with shouta and erika would be much appreciated.

finally.. i have finished season 1&2 plus the movie, liar game the final stage..really enjoy it.. toda erika dan matsuda shota do very well in the liar game, i expect there are many scene romantic between them but not really.. i hope both tada erika dan matsuda shota will have the new drama together again. they are really sweet together.. the sweet couple in the drama!

saw the movie in an inflight movie on a Delta flight and liked is so now i am watching the eps in season one and i am loving it the 2nd round was awesome!
its ironic that some ppl are fans of the show and can't wait to see the movie, while i watched the movie and can't wait to see the series. i hope the movie comes out on the net some time

Yeah!! To all those who were on asian to canada flights or vice versa (for me it was on both a korean and a hong kong flight) ME TOO! So I had no idea what Liar Game was (never heard of it, never seen/read the manga) all I noticed was Matsuda Shota and settled in to watch it. So very pleasantly surprised, came back home and instantly glommed the two drama seasons and getting caught up with the manga. Movie's worth it, and manga's even better.
To answer the question (since I saw it with subs on the flight) it's an envelope from the old man she lends money to for bus fare at the beginning, bc naturally you think he's scamming her, but naive Nao obviously gets the (unrealistic) benefit of the doubt here. Note's not important - he just thanks her.

Hi J, last night I was cracking my head for the answer too. This morning I thought of one which I found acceptable.
Point is we were all too engrossed with black envelopes and assumed they are from LGT, but do not LGT wasn't printed on the envelop on the last black envelop.
Remember the old man who borrowed money at the park? The one with the missing wallet or something. I didn't take note how much was borrowed, but he could be the reason.

Hey! Anyone knows whatever is shown at the end of credits is about? Because Nao received a black envelope..inside a note and 1000yen. I never quite realized how lucky I was to be able to see this movie! I watched it twice with English subtitles while on an international flight coming back from China, not realizing that it wasn't out on DVD yet. It's a great movie, definitely, and despite the fact that this is the first time an entirely new game is introduced, not based on the manga, they actually did a really great job! The ending was satisfying, and it tied everything together...
Lots of people have already posted spoilers, so I won't do so here! If anyone wants a summary though, I could always type one up...? :'D But you'd probably want to see this one yourself, it'd ruin the suspense otherwise xD

I also saw this movie on an International Air Canada flight- under the world movies (already with eng subs)- but not on an in-Canada flight. So if you guys do go on an international air canada flight, look for it ^^ (i flew around mid july btw). when i watched it, my mind was blown away by it- definitely want to see it again!

I just saw this movie subbed on my ANA flight from Tokyo to the US and it was really wonderful. I'd not seen the TV series before and they did a good job of making it something you can enjoy without having seen the series. (Though now I want to watch the series) I so ship Akiyama and Nao now.

The final stage is 'Garden of eden'.
There are 11 people include Nao Kanzaki and Shinichi Akiyama.
The game is vote Golden apple or Silver apple or Red apple.
The Red apple is trust.
They put brand on apple and vote.
If all of members vote Red apple, so they will get ¥1oku each.
But if someone vote another color apple, after then the person who vote Golden or Silver will won.
The person will get ¥1oku, and person who vote Red will lose ¥1oku.
Of course Nao Kanzaki persuade another people 'Everyone should to vote Red apple'.
But every time someone vote another color.
One person called 'X' disturb their vote everytime.
The X entrapped Akiyama, so he made it leave.
So Nao fight lonely.
After then,Akiyama come back to game by money of Yokoya.
Last... Akiyama had a plan of trick.
The X vote a silver apple, but actually it's a red apple.
A red apple is painted silver apple.
So he put off red color and make it looks like silver apple.
Exactly they all vote Red apple.
Nao and Akiyama won!
Nao feel very happy.
Person who pay money for Liar Game,they bet for it's impossible all member vote Red Apple.
So they went bankrupt and Liar Game game over.
X is Arata sendo. He is bank clerk.
And nobody get eliminated except Akiyama.
Finally Akiyama get ¥50oku, because he get most much money.
But he give the prize(¥50oku) for Yokoya.
He promise with Yokoya when Yokoya save Akiyama.
If he win, he have to pay the prize for Yokoya.
But Yokoya back the money for Akiyama again.
Akiyama and Nao save the people who lose before Liar Game.

And in the Japan Liar Game: The Final Stage website they did describe the game rules in raw japanese, but here's what my brother translated for me.. :P
The game is called the garden of Eden, and basically it goes around the story of Adam and Eve in the garden, with the apple.
In the game, there are three different types of apples. The red, golden and silver ones. With the red being the fruit of truth, and the other 2 being the forbidden fruit. After every hour, there will be a round of voting, and this voting goes on for a total of 13 rounds.
If at the end of the game, a player was voted all red apples for all of the 13 rounds, the players who voted her the red apples would each get +100mil yen into their accts.
However, if a player got voted a minority of red apples and a majority of gold and silver apples, players who voted her the red apples would each get -100mil yen into their acct, and that would turn into their total debt. Players who voted her gold and silver apples however, would each get +100mil yen into their acct.
In an event that a player was voted 12 red apples and 1 golden/silver apple, players who voted her the red apples would each get a -100mil yen deducted, and the one player who voted her the golden/silver apple would have an additional of +200mil yen into his acct.
In another scenario, a player could be voted only one red apple, and the other 12 apples are golden and silver apples. In this case, the player who voted her the red apple would have a debt of -1000mil yen in his acct, while those who voted her the golden and silver apple would get an additional +100mil yen into his acct.
If a player got voted all golden and silver apples with no red apples at all, the players who voted the minority colored apple would gain and +100mil yen, while the players who voted the majority colored apple would be -100mil yen in debt.
In the last possible scenario, a player would be voted all golden/silver apples. In this scenario, all players who voted would have a -100mil yen debt in their acct.

I think if they do believe in each other and voted everyone a red apple, they will all have 100mil yen x 13 at the end of the game, its a good ending for everyone! But in the trailer there is a player X, and I think that this person is trying to get everyone to vote golden/silver apples instead. In the trailer I saw Kanzaki Nao said "I am X!" and then Akiyama came up and said "The person controlling this game is not X, its me!" I guess, he's trying to protect her? D

The relationship between Akiyama and Nao's surely going for a different stage, but what's all that with " you can do on your own " and leaving her there? Aggh it's drving me nut for the thought of that and the curiousity.

El trailer esta super genial, espero qe la peli tambien lo este... Y que no decepcione, como la peli de Kurosagi (A mi me re decepciono D:) Igual por el trailer parece que no :D
Espero que la traduscan rapido al Español... :P
