Bio
Born in ’76. Graduated from Japan Academy of Moving Images (Shohei IMAMURA’s film school) in ’98. After involved with some films as an assistant director, she directed a first film, LOVE/ JUICE (’00), which won Wolfgang Staudte Prize at Young Forum section at Berlin Int’l Film Festival in ’00.
Her grandfather is Kaneto SHINDO whose works as a script writer and film director are highly regarded both at home and overseas.
