There's also a college student (Erika Toda) who is so easily persuaded by her no good boyfriend. nakatani miki and miyatomo nobuko are amazing. the film contains nostalgia and hope for the future. it's touching because we have all experienced this type of kindness from strangers. overall, it's very realistic.

I saw this by chance on Singapore Airlines flight from NZ, I live in France and so wish it would come here too.
With all the hundreds of films I could have watched, this was the most appealing and it didn't disappoint. A beautiful, touching, film.
