- The "HDTV Feature" series first started as "TV Feature" (TV Moonhakgwan) on December 18, 1980 by the Korean Broadcasting Company (KBS). The series consisted of one act movies based on famous novels. Over the next 26 years a total 293 episodes were made under the "TV Feature" title. In 2005, KBS started its "HDTV Feature," based on the same premise but utilizing HDTV technology. KBS planned to produce 10 episodes per year, with the goal of producing 100 episodes in its first 10 years. By 2010 and due to low ratings + budget problems the series has been placed on hiatus.
