Plot
The life of the salaried office-worker in modern Japan is a theme often treated by Japanese films, but never with the devastating horoughness of Early Spring. A young man is bored with the dreary predictability of his job and his marriage and succumbs to an affair with the office flirt. He and his wife quarrel. He is transferred out of Tokyo to Osaka. His wife comes back to him and they agree to start over.
