Plot
Shintaro (Tomoharu Hasegawa) and Masako (Akiko Hinagata) work in the same office and they are in love. But Shintaro does not believe that love can be everlasting, so he proposes to Masako a contract marriage, limited to three years. And because she loves him, Masako accepts this proposal. The contract marriage, which seemed to be the ideal form for them, ends up stirring up love, hate and tragedy among all the people close to them. It is not fate that drives this story forward. What determine the lives of these characters are their own ego, and the many facets it possesses. It underlies all their actions revolving around their everyday relationships.
