Plot

27-year-old Daikichi (Ken'ichi Matsuyama) is a single young man who is trusted by his peers at work. Daikichi then attends his grandfather's funeral. At the funeral the attendees learn that Daikichi's grandfather bore an illegitimate daughter with an unknown mother. The girl's name is Rin (Mana Ashida) and she is just six years old. Everybody in Daikichi's family looks at the girl as an embarrassment and wants no part of her. Daikichi, annoyed by his family's attitude, decides to raise Rin by himself. Daikichi has no experience in raising a child. He soon learns the difficulties in raising a child as a single parent ...

Notes

Movie is based on Yumi Unita's popular manga series "Usagi Drop". The comic was first serialized in the manga magazine Feel Young since October 2005.
Filming began July 21st, 2010. Shooting locations have taken place in residential parts of Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

i watched the anime version of this movies and and it was amazing .. the emotion, the plot of the story ,

maybe I will watch movie also ..

I watched the movie in the plane...very touchy ....but not yet finished as the plane already landed before the movie ended...

This movie seems to be cute...and isn't she the cutest thing ever?...I loved her in 'mother', she made me cry every time she cried 'okasan'...Matsuyama is doing a lot of movies, isn't he?...
