Plot
"Mommy will be back in the rainy season." Mio Aio wrote these words in a picture book just before passing away. Though six-year old Yuji accepts his mother's death, he still believes the promise his mother made. Then the rainy season comes, and Yuji and his father, Takumi, meet a woman in the downpour that bears an uncanny resemblance to Mio, but has no recollection of who she is. Taking her in, they reacquaint her with her former self and family life returns to normal as memories come flooding back. But their new life together is interrupted by the discovery of Mio's old diary, which reveals the secrets of her past and how they must say goodbye in six weeks time.

The best Jdrama I've ever watched ! I also like the drama better than the movie, though it seems slower and a bit boring at early episodes, but I think it is needed to fully explain the whole story, amazing story ! I also like drama's casts better than movie's cast.

I think this dorama is really good compared with the movie. Maybe, some people find the acting of several actors/actress is kinda forced, but for the main characters, their acting is really good. Almost real. The clumsy Takumi, the innocent Yuji and the nice Mio.
This drama is showing how nice to have a family is. Usually I don't really like "family" dorama, but this one is an exception.
The story is a bit different with the movie, but as a result, the dorama is "clearer" and we can see how the main characters become the real family.
Maybe, only the ending is kinda....unexpected? Yeah, I'm not really statisfy with the ending, because it isn't happy ending neither sad ending
But, this dorama is really good! If you like simple and touched story, then watch it! ;)
