This is a must see movie, so beautifully done, there's so much chemistry between the coach and the kids despite the fact that they were stranger to each other and only spent 3 mnths filming the movie,
Plus its funny to hear how Coach Kim speak bilingual language with his korean accent:-D

Excellent Movi. There is an Indian Movi "Chak De India" , themeof which is almost same. I thought "Chak De India" was its remake, but it was relesed much earlier. All the characters were great & all actors did justice to role, speciffically Mr.Kin & a cute little sister girl. I watched this movi twice & have recommended all my Indian friends to watch this. May be it movi like this crosses not only the boundry of country, cast religion, but also of language. Although it was a in Korean language, but I understood all the emotions by the act.

    It's simple a great movie !
I always like watching movies about sport, because they show how to believe and live your dream.
As Indonesian watching Mr. Kim try speaking Indonesian and his confused face is really funny to see :D"
But when you speak from your heart, any languanges can be certainly understandable.
I wish The Barefoot Dream also inspiring many children in my country Indonesia, and other developing countries to believe and live their dream.
If this film nominated as best foreign film in 2010 Academy Award, I pick it for sure !

    Linda Says:

I just watched it! When a foreigner is willing to help other children grow and reach their dreams, s(he) supposed to be called 'a hero.' The movie shows the audience how to do what you love and love what you do. There are many things that money can't but when passion really talks.
    Awesome!

I just watched this movie last night at a Premiere sponsored by the Timor Leste Embassy, the Korean Embassy, and Soccer Schools Indonesia.

It is great! A really nice movie, the ending was predictable (they win, no spoiler there!), but nicely done, and the movie is a great mix of sad and funny moments.

Well done to the makers and cast of the film, and well done to the real people portrayed.

I hope the events portrayed and this movie will help to heal the birth pangs of "the first independent nation of the 21st century"

I am very proud of an initiative taken by Mr Kim, even though he's korean but he really had the will to educate children - children Tiimor Leste became the seeds of a professional football player. As Tua ( Junior ) parents I Feel Sad because children who Timor Leste have many talents in the Football Soccer but the Government it self not have much as possible to take a responsability, I am also proud Junior ( Tua) Can Become national football team and joined parts and Participation in the Film. Once Again I just Say my sense of appreciation for Camp B and all the crew and also to my Big Appreciation for Mr Kim's .

First of all, I would like to express my congratulation to this movie. As one of the crew I also exactly know how the crew fought against challenges in the newest country to shoot the film. And because of their endurance most scenes of this Barefoot Dream film have been successfully taken. I hope that this movie will be the unique one in Korean movies' history.
