Bad Woman, Good Woman/ep. 1-35 Plot Synopsis

ep. 1

Geon-wu and his family are on their way to Saipan for his seminar. On the plane to Saipan, Seo-gyeong is surprised to see Geon-wu. He tells her that he changed his flight schedule so that he could see her and kisses her passionately. He even changes his hotel reservation to be with her. At the hotel, they exchange meaningful glances and rejoin their respective families.

As his daughter Jin-a and Se-yeong take in the scenic ocean view, Geon-wu stares at his family, deep in thought. Tae-wook meets Ji-woo at the hotel and falls instantly in love with her at first sight. He eavesdrops on a conversation between his nephew Wu-ram and Jin-a and confirms that Ji-woo is single. He happily daydreams about his next encounter with Ji-woo.

Bong-dal gives a new car to Seo-gyeong as a present. She goes on a test drive in the new car with a heavy heart. Seo-gyeong’s colleague So-young, who is suspicious of Seo-gyeong’s strange behavior, sees a receipt for property tax that fell from Seo-gyeong’s desk and is mystified by it.

ep. 2

Suddenly lucid, Ms. Song asks Gyeong-seon if she gave her the deed to the lands in Yangpyeong. Se-yeong jokes that she will look for the deed and split the land 50- 50 with Gyeong-seon when she finds it. Meanwhile, Geon-wu is cooking and waiting for Seo-gyeong at their hideaway in Yangpyeong.

Bong-dal comments that his life is boring and subtly asks his son, Tae-hyeon, about their marriage and if they’re having any trouble. Tae-hyeon is surprised by his father’s sudden question but assures him that his love for his wife Seo-gyeong is as strong as ever. Meanwhile, Seo-gyeong is happily spending quality time with Geon- wu.

Geon-wu panics when his daughter smells Seo-gyeong’s perfume on him. Seo- gyeong is driving back to Yangpyeong because she left something at the Yangpyeong cottage when Tae-hyeon calls to take her out to dinner.

ep. 3

Tae-hyeon goes to the hospital where Seo-kyeong works to take her out to dinner but she’s already on her way to Yang-pyeong. Geon-wu is startled by a suspicious glare from his daughter as he talks on the phone with Seo-kyeong. His face hardens when Se-yeoung asks him about the dog hairs that are constantly on his clothes.

While out walking with Wu-ram, Tae-wook meets Ji-woo, who was in the middle of a shoot in front of a restaurant. Ji-woo and Tae-wook are both happy to see each other because of the pact they had made in Saipan, that if they happen to meet each other again in Seoul by chance, they would consider it fate.

After Seo-gyeong returns from Yangpyeong, she tells Geon-wu that she can’t take it anymore and that they should divorce their respective spouses and marry each other. But Geon-wu refuses to give her a definitive answer.

ep. 4

Ms. Song again orders Se-yeong to find the deed for the lands in Yangpyeong. Se- yeong assures her that she will find the deed if they indeed have it. However, Geon- wu has already built a cottage on the lands in Yangpyeong and is carrying on his affair there with Seo-gyeong. He contemplates Seo-gyeong’s remarks on how the cottage is no longer a safe place for them to meet.

So-young still has feelings for Tae-hyeon. She calls him and plays some music for him on the phone. However, Seo-gyeong was the one who had answered the phone and remarks on the strange phone call. She grows suspicious of her husband. Seo-gyeong is scared out of her wits when So-young who saw the property tax receipt, casually asks her if she bought a house in Yangpyeong.

Meanwhile, Ji-woo’s vision suddenly turns blurry in the middle of a shoot and she visits her doctor, Sang-jin, for some tests. Meanwhile, Se-yeong visits her gynecologist and is confused when her doctor informs her that there is nothing wrong with her.

ep. 5

It’s been a long time since his family got together so Bong-dal gathers his family together and buys dinner. Mal-ja tells Seo-gyeong to buy a watermelon for the family. Seo-gyeong feels guilty over her neglect of her son. But Wu-ram, who is oblivious to his mom’s feelings, prefers to spend time with his dad. Tae-hyeon tries to be romantic and carries his wife to their bed but she struggles to push him away and hits him in the face by mistake.

Gyeong-seon is worried about Se-yeong’s infertility. She cares a lot for her winsome and affectionate daughter-in-law, who takes care of Ms. Song without any complaint. Se-yeong receives a call from Jin-a’s teacher and hurries over to the school. She becomes sad over a picture Jin-a drew with two moms in it.

So-young meets Mal-ja while on her way to a meeting with Tae-hee. Uncomfortable over the fact that So-young is still single, Mal-ja harasses So-young about the feelings she still has for Tae-hyun and tells her to forget him.

ep. 6

Se-yeong worries about Jin-a and asks Geon-wu about Jin-a’s biological mother. Geon-wu is quiet for a minute and tells her that Jin-a’s only mother is Se-young and in a cold voice reminds her about their promise not to speak about Jin-a’s biological mother. Geon-wu assures Se-yeong that Jin-a’s real mom went to the U.S and will never come back.

Ji-woo interviews Tae-wook, who is an expert in costume parties. In the middle of the interview, Tae-wook reveals his feelings for her. Tae-wook suddenly shows up at Ji-woo’s office as she gossips about their relationship. Ji-woo was in the middle of remarking that she is not sure whether she and Tae-wook are fated lovers or enemies and turns around in surprise at Tae-wook’s sudden appearance.

So-young finds pieces of Geon-wu’s card in Seo-gyeong’s trashcan and puts it back together. She is deep in thought as she stares at the card. Se-yeong is surprised by a picture of Seo-gyeong by a river among the bunch of pictures she found in Geon-wu’s drawer in his study.

ep. 7

Gyeong-seon goes pale when she sees a picture of Seo-gyeong on Geon-wu’s desk. She interrogates her son on whether he’s seeing Seo-gyeong again or not when he gets home from work. She worries when she hears that Se-yeong saw the picture too. Geon-wu assures her that it’s just an old picture and Gyeong-seon tells her son not to hurt Se-yeong because she’s so good to them.

Geon-wu gives the same necklace as a present to his wife and his mistress. When Tae-hyeon sees the necklace on Seo-gyeong he compliments her saying that she looks good in everything. Unlike Seo-gyeong who feels awkward wearing the necklace, Se-yeong is ecstatic over the gift. When Jin-a tells her to take more care of her appearance, Se-yeong remarks that she is afraid to spend the money on herself. Jin-a feels pity at her comment and hugs her mother.

Meanwhile, So-young gets drunk while drinking with Tae-hee and talks about how she knows everything about Tae-hyeon. Tae-hee pities So-young and advises her to forget him. When Tae-hee helps her drunken friend to her apartment, she sees a picture of Tae-hyeon on the wall and is startled.

ep. 8

So-young lays her heart at Tae-hyeon’s feet over a drink. But she becomes resentful of Seo-gyeong when Tae-hyeon declares that he never had special feelings for her and he never will. So-young calls Tae-hyeon late at night and doesn’ t say anything. Seo-gyeong grabs the phone from Tae-hyeon and realizes that it is So-young on the phone.

Gyeong-sun gives a day-off to Se-yeong, who never goes out, being busy with all the household chores. While walking along the cobblestone road, she reminisces about her dates with Geon-wu. She goes to see Geon-wu at the hospital to have dinner with him. Seo-gyong sees Se-yeong visiting Geon-wu and is thrown into an emotional turmoil.

So-young looks through the text messages saved in Seo-gyeong’s cell phone and becomes sure that Geon-wu is Seo-gyeong’s lover. Meanwhile, Tae-hee warns Tae-hyeon that So-young is acting strange and tells him about the cottage in Yangpyeong.

ep. 9

Geon-wu takes his wife to a fancy restaurant and buys her a steak dinner. Seo- gyeong, who followed them here, sits in a corner and watches her lover with his wife. Geon-wu sees Seo-gyeong watching them and becomes agitated. Seo- gyeong calls Tae-hyeon out for dinner. He tells Seo-gyeong that if working with So- young is uncomfortable, then she can fire her.

Tae-wook visits the production company where Ji-woo works and chit-chats with Ji- woo’s colleague, Ms. Jang. Ms. Jang, who is the president of the production company, decides to sponsor Tae-wook’s costume party club. She even agrees to let Tae-wook rent a room in the building to use as his workshop. Ji-woo is reluctantly impressed by Tae-wook’s persuasion skills.

Tae-hee wakes Seo-gyeong up when they arrive at Seo-gyeong’s house. On their way in, Tae-hee asks if Seo-gyeong bought a house in Yangpyeong. Seo-gyeong is dismayed by the question.

ep. 10

Se-yeong is happy from her date with her husband. She pulls her husband on to the bed but Geon-wu tells her that no matter how she tries to seduce him, she won’t get pregnant. Se-yeong is immobilized with shock at his callous remark. Geon-wu regrets his insensitive remark and consoles her that it doesn’t matter and that they should give up trying. Se-yeong starts to cry because of Geon-wu’s attitude and Geon-wu soothes her while hiding his own heavy heart.

Tae-hyeon suggests to Seo-gyeong that they should have another baby because Wu-ram might feel lonely as an only child. Seo-gyeong retorts that it’s out of question and that taking care of the one child they have is hard enough. Tae-hyeon says he just cannot understand her even after over 7 years of marriage. Seo-gyeong has mixed feeling about his remark.

Sang-jin informs Geon-wu that Ji-woo’s test results show that she has retinitis pigmentosa, a genetic disease that blinds people. Geon-wu starts to worry about his sister because their deceased father became blind from this disease.

ep. 11

Gyeong-sun and Se-yeong are confused when they find a receipt for a property tax payment for lands in Yangpyeong on Geon-wu’s desk. They realize that Geon-wu must have known about the lands in Yangpyeong but wonder why he didn’t say anything when Ms. Song raved about the lands. Seo-gyeong meets Geon-wu and informs him that So-young has found out about the cottage in Yangpyeong. Geon- wu starts to pack his stuff in the cottage and tells Seo-gyeong that they should refrain from getting together for a while.

Tae-wook goes out for dinner with Ms. Jang and comes across Ji-woo and Sang- jin. The four decide to have dinner together and the two males wage a silent battle to win Ji-woo. Tae-wook informs Sang-jin that he is wooing Ji-woo. Sang-jin realizes that Tae-wook is speaking the truth and becomes more territorial.

Meanwhile, So-young is waiting for Tae-hyeon at the bar, where Tae-hyeon is a regular. They have a couple of shots together. Seo-gyeong who couldn’t stand So- young anymore, gives her a letter of recommendation and asks her to seek other employment. Unlike Seo-gyeong, who is agitated, smug So-young replies that she’s been to the cottage in Yangpyeong and pointedly asks Seo-gyeong why Tae-hyeon doesn’t know about the cottage.

ep. 12

Se-yeoung asks Ms. Song what the lands in Yanpyeong are like and is surprised when she hears that Ms. Song kept the knowledge of those lands a secret so that she could leave the lands to Gyeong-sun. Gyeong-sun becomes suspicious that her son might be lying about how Seo-gyeong immigrated to the U.S when she thinks she saw Seo-gyeong on the street. Se-yeong reminds Geon-wu not to be late for Jin-a’s piano recital and starts getting ready for the recital with Gyeong-sun.

Tae-wook takes Tae-hee with him to break up the date between Ji-woo and Sang- jin. When Tae-hee meets Sang-jin, she becomes very interested in him and the two exchanges their business cards. Feeling great, Tae-hee buys a bottle of wine to share with her companions and gets drunk. Tae-wook and Ji-woo get exasperated with Tae-hee’s behavior.

So-young visits the cottage in Yangpyeong again and takes a look around the empty place. She finds an earring that Seo-gyeong lost. Geon-wu assures Seo-gyeong that he rented a new cottage and moved all their stuff there. However, he forgets about Jin-a’s recital and misses it. Seo-gyeong goes instead to see Jin-a from afar and Gyeong-sun, who was waiting for Geon-wu, sees her.

ep. 13

After having heard that So-young has left and is headed to Yangpyeong, Seo- gyeong calls Geon-wu in a hurry to tell him what’s happening. Geon-wu hurries down to the cottage and moves all their stuff out. So-young arrives at the cottage and asks the caretaker, Mr. Kim, if she can take a look around. He replies that since the house is on the market she can go in.

While looking around the cottage, So-young finds an earring in the living room that she is sure belongs to Seo-gyeong.

Geon-wu calls his wife and lies to her that his club buddies are all drunk and he can’t leave them so he’ll have to miss Jin-a’s recital. Se-yeoung tells him to come as soon as he can.

Meanwhile, Seo-gyeong heads to the recital in hope of seeing even a glimpse of her daughter from afar.

ep. 14

Seo-gyeong leaves the recital hall in a hurry when she realizes that Gyeong-sun witnessed her watching Jin-a. Seo-gyeong starts to cry in her car. She was struggling to regain her calm when Tae-hyeon, who came to get her, finds her crying. Tae-hee warns Seo-gyeong not to keep So-young close because So-young knows everything about Tae-hyeon. Meanwhile, having found Seo-gyeong’s earring, So-young vows to find out Seo-gyeong’s secret.

Gyeong-sun calls her son quietly to another room and orders him not to see Seo- gyeong again if he cares anything at all about Se-yeong and Jin-a. Geon-wu can’t sleep because of what his mother said and instead starts chatting with Seo-gyeong on-line. Seo-gyeong praises him on raising Jin-a so beautifully and says she feels that seeing Jin-a did her good. Seo-gyeong says that she wants to thank Se- yeoung for raising Jin-a so well and Geon-wu tells her that not causing any problems to disturb Se-yeoung’s life might be a good way of thanking her.

Gyeong-sun asks her granddaughter to look-up Seo-gyeong on the Internet. After a short research, Jin-a turns up a homepage for Seo-gyeong’s gynecology practice. Gyeong-sun is shocked and she goes to Seo-gyeong’s hospital. There, Gyeong- sun sees Seo-gyeong heading for the parking lot.

ep. 15

Gyeong-sun visits Seo-gyeong’s hospital under her daughter-in-law’s name and finds out that the hospital’s been open for 5 years now and that Seo-gyeong is the director of this hospital. Meanwhile, having no knowledge of Gyeong-sun’s visit, Seo-gyeong is spying on Geon-wu and his family, who are having a good time at an aquarium. She feels sad and bitter while watching that family outing.

Bong-dal keeps urging his son to have another baby because Wu-ram needs a brother or a sister. Tae-hyeon feels like he’s stuck between the proverbial rock and a hard place as he thinks about Seo-gyeong, who is too busy even to spend time with Wu-ram. While taking pictures of a costume party, Ji-woo is robbed of her clothes and goes home in a costume that Tae-wook made.

Seo-gyeong visits Jin-a’s school and watches her in hiding. Then suddenly, Jin-a is almost hit by a motorcycle while talking to Se-young on her cell phone and Seo- gyeong saves her.

ep. 16

Jin-a doesn’t know that Seo-gyeong is her real mother and thanks Seo-gyeong for saving her. Jin-a then takes Seo-gyeong to a drugstore to treat Seo-gyeong’s wounds that she got while saving Jin-a. While Jin-a is cleaning her wounds, Seo- gyeong looks on with a bittersweet feeling. Jin-a shares her snack with Seo- gyeong to show her appreciation. When Seo-gyeong hears from Jin-a that Se-yeong’ s biggest wish is to give birth to a son, she feels guilty.

In the grips of senile dementia, Ms. Song runs away from home. Se-yeong and Gyeong-sun finally finds her at the silk shop that Ms. Song used to own. Se-yeong starts to cry in relief at having found Ms. Song. She starts to talk about how she lost her family. Then suddenly Ms. Song regains her sanity briefly and she implores Se- yeong to find the deeds to her lands in Yangpyeong.

Tae-hee becomes desperate in her efforts to attract Sang-jin. She finally resorts to calling him and asking him to come check on her nephew, saying that she thinks he is sick.

ep. 17

Geong-wu finds out that Seo-gyeong met Jin-a. He becomes defensive when Se- yeong starts to ask about Jin-a’s accident and lashes out at her. Afterward he is very repentant. Meanwhile, Se-yeong tries to be an understanding wife and starts massaging her husband to help him relax. She tells him to share whatever is bothering him with her. When Geon-wu tells her that she is wonderful and that he is always appreciative of her support, she asks him whether Jin-a’s birth mother was beautiful or not.

Seo-gyeong wants to break-up with Geon-wu because she feels she owes Se- yeoung a lot for having raised Jin-a so well. She also feels guilty toward her husband and son and she is tired of So-young sniffing around. But Geon-wu begs her not to end things because he still loves her.

Unbeknown to Se-yeoung, Geon-wu had a vasectomy done in the past. He asks his friend who is an urologist, if his vasectomy can be reversed.

ep. 18

To make up for missing Jin-a’s recital, Geon-wu buys Se-yeong a handbag from an expensive brand. Se-yeong is moved by his present and shows it off to everyone. Gyeong-sun warns Geon-wu again not to meet Seo-gyeong. Geon-wu presents Jin- a with a winter coat that Seo-gyeong helped him to pick out.

Seo-gyeong tries too hard to get involved in her family affairs and Tae-hyeon looks on in concern. When suddenly Seo-gyeong mentions that she wants to see the sea in winter, Tae-hyeon takes her to the beach. So-young visits Tae-hyeon and shows him Seo-gyeong’s earring that she found in Yangpyeong and asks him if it’s Seo- gyeong’s. When Tae-hyeon replies that he doesn’t know, she asks him about buying an insurance policy.

Gyeong-sun goes down to see the Yangpyeong cottage and falls in love with it. Not knowing that the owner is Seo-gyeong, she wants to meet the owner.

ep. 19

So-young bugs Seo-gyeong about her medical service volunteering, accusing her of using that time to fool around. Seo-gyeong tells So-young that she is a stalker and that she should seek professional help. When Seo-gyeong informs So-young that she knows everything that she has been doing behind her back, So-young just laughs in her face and asks her whether she truly loves Tae-hyeon.

Ji-woo becomes irritated by Ms. Jang’s interests in Tae-wook so she complains about having to help Tae-wook sew his costumes for his costume party event when they should be concentrating on making their film. But Ms. Jang tells her to be nice and cooperate while informing her about the vision and profitability of the costume party arrangement business. Ji-woo begins to understand Tae-wook and after having worked over-time, they go out to play pool after work.

Seo-gyeong receives the shock of her life when Gyeong-sun suddenly calls her to ask her about selling the cottage in Yangpyeong.

ep. 20

On the phone, Seo-gyeong tells Gyeong-sun that she has no plans to sell the cottage. Gyeong-sun is surprised by how young the owner of the cottage is. She vows to find out how Ms. Song came to own lands in Yangpyeong. A nurse catches Seo-gyeong secretly looking at a picture of Jin-a and Geon-wu is also caught looking at a photo of Seo-gyeong by his friend Sang-jin and is forced to show that picture to him.

Geon-wu remembers the anniversary of Se-yeoung’s parents’ deaths and tells her that he will take her to their graves. Se-yeong is so touched by his unusually thoughtful act that she tells him not to worry and that she will go alone since he must be so busy with his work. Tae-hee is too restless to wait for Sang-jin to call so she decides to visit him at the hospital.

Seo-gyeong takes her family to a sauna and she is surprised to hear from her mother-in-law that she did not give birth to her husband.

ep. 21

Se-yeong visits her parents’ graves by herself and makes a vow that when she comes to visit next time, she’ll be pregnant with Geon-wu’s baby. Se-yeong also visits her old school and takes a trip down memory lane.

Tae-wook goes to see Ji-woo at her office with Wu-ram in tow. The three have a good time together fooling around in the snow. With the purpose of bumping into Sang-jin at a swimming pool, Tae-hee borrows Se-yeong’s new swimming suit to go swimming but forgets to take the price tag off, making a fool of herself.

Under the pretense of taking photographs, Geon-wu goes to the cottage in Gapyeong on Sunday. After a phone call from Geon-wu, Seo-gyeong lies to her family saying she has to do an emergency surgery and leaves for Gapyeong.

ep. 22

Gyeong-sun suggests that Se-yeong learn to drive after she gets back from her parents’ graves.

Gyeong-sun feels pity for Se-yeong who is happily ignorant of all that is going on. She tells Se-yeong that she is always grateful for all Se-yeong’s done for the family and Se-yeong thanks her in turn for the wonderful family that she provided and also says that she wouldn’t be able to live like this if it weren’t for Gyeong-sun.

Tae-hee is anxiously waiting for a call from Sang-jin and discusses her love life with her brother, Tae-hyeon, who dropped by to pick-up some cold medicine for their father. Tae-hee agrees with Tae-hyeon when he informs her that she needs to practice her dating skills to meet someone nice and be happy the way he and Seo- gyeong is. They are surprised by the fact that Seo-gyeong didn’t say a word about the secret of Tae-hyeon’s birth after she found out.

Tae-hee is out on a date with Sang-jin finally. When Sang-jin cuts their date short because of a phone call from Ji-woo, she acts casual and accepting but after he leaves, she throws a hissing fit.

Gyeong-sun takes Se-yeong and Geon-wu to a gynecologist and she is shocked when she hears from the doctor that Geon-wu had a vasectomy done in the past.

ep. 23

Seo-gyeong blows up when she finds out that So-young has been snooping around her file cabinet. However, So-young is not intimidated at all and tells her that Seo- gyeong always had what she has wanted and that she saw Seo-gyeong’s album. So-young asks suspiciously why Seo-gyeong has an album full of pictures of a little girl. Seo-gyeong does not even bother replying.

Seo-gyeong and Geon-wu have a serious discussion about their relationship, both admitting that they have now reached a turning point. Both confess that they’re tired of lying. Geon-wu wants to come clean but Seo-gyeong wants to wait. She is afraid of what will happen after their secret is exposed. They agree that they have been sloppy in covering up their affair for the past 6 years.

Jin-a assures Se-yeong that she’s not going to meet her birthmother even if her birth mother contacts her. She also accidentally tells her that Seo-gyeong was at her recital.

ep. 24

After talking with Sang-jin, Ji-woo becomes suspicious of Geon-wu’s weekend photography trips. She talks with Gyeong-sun why Geon-wu has no photographs to show for his trips. Ji-woo asks Geon-wu if he’s cheating on Se-yeong. Geon-wu is shocked by Ji-woo’s question and feels guilty.

When Se-yeong finds out that Geon-wu had a vasectomy operation done in the past, she turns cold toward her mother-in-law, who hid it from her. She asks Ji-woo about Jin-a’s birthmother. While eavesdropping on their conversation, Gyeong-sun becomes anxious. Ji-woo informs Se-yeong that Jin-a’s birthmother is happily married and is living with her family in Seoul.

Seo-gyeong finds out that her sister-in-law, Tae-hee, is dating Sang-jin and meets with Geon-wu to discuss this new development.

ep. 25

Seo-gyeong meets with Geon-wu and tells him about Tae-hee’s relationship. She wants to end their affair because sooner or later everything will blow-up in their face if they don’t stop now. However, Geon-wu tells her she is becoming worried over nothing and disregards what Seo-gyeong told him. He tells her that he does not regret anything because he loves her. So-young witnesses the two talking together intimately and takes a video clip of them with her cell phone.

Ji-woo and Tae-wook have to pay for the camera they lost and borrow a new one. They decide to borrow some money and Tae-wook asks Tae-hyeong for some help. Ms. Song suddenly asks Se-yeong if she has prepared her burial clothes. Se- yeong is shocked by the question but realizes that she has to prepare just in case so she takes a picture of Ms. Song to use in the burial service with Jin-a’s help.

Se-yeong finds a paper bag that used to contain Geon-wu’s medicine prescribed by an urologist. She becomes curious about the medicine and visits the hospital.

ep. 26

Se-yeong is shocked when she finds out that Geon-wu had surgery done to undue his vasectomy. Gyeong-sun has a bad feeling about Se-yeong and tries to get in touch with her. The doctor informs Geon-wu that Se-yeong has been at the hospital. Geon-wu meets Seo-gyeong and tells her that he is planning on having a baby with Se-yeong. Seo-gyeong tells him not to feel guilty about his decision but she cries nonetheless.

So-young takes a video clip of Seo-gyeong with Geon-wu with her cell phone and sends it to Seo-gyeong when she is with her husband and son. Seo-gyeong is shocked by the clip and looks guiltily toward her husband who is ignorant of this and turns her cell phone off.

Sang-jin asks Tae-hee to play the part of his fake fiancee when he goes down to visit his parents in the countryside. Tae-hee becomes mad and gets drunk...

ep. 27

Gyeong-sun hands over the household account to Se-yeong. Se-yeong is surprised when she hears that Gyeong-sun even plans to deed the house over to her. Gyeong-sun tells her that she is is like a daughter to her and that she trusts her even more than she trusts her own son.

Sang-jin falls asleep in Tae-hee’s room and panics when he wakes up in the morning. Wu-ram mistakenly takes him for a thief and attacks him with Tae-hee and Tae-wook, who woke from Wu-ram’s shouts. While Tae-hee is busy trying to make amends for the bruise she gave Sang-jin and rest of the family just looks on with interest.

So-young takes Tae-hyeon to Seo-gyeong’s cottage in Yangpyeong and takes a picture.

ep. 28

Tae-wook finally presses a visit to Gyeong-sun’s boutique from Ji-woo. Gyeong- sun is surprised by Tae-wook’s talent in needlework. She enjoys the visit from amiable and funny Tae-wook. Bong-dal finds out that Tae-wook lost his camera and that he borrowed some money from Tae-hyeon to replace it. Bong-dal orders Tae- wook to repay his brother ASAP.

Seo-gyeong tells So-young to stop stalking her but So-young keeps on asking her about Geon-wu. So-young threatens Seo-gyeong by saying that she could tell everything she found out to Tae-hee but Seo-gyeong doesn’t reply.

Se-yeong is curious about a button she found at Geon-wu’s car that looks like it’s from women’s clothing.

Geon-wu panics when Se-yeong gives him the button she found. Geon-wu lies and tells her that it’s a button that one of the nurses at the hospital must have lost. Se- yeong is appeased by his lie. Seo-gyeong feels sad when Wu-ram asks for a little sister or a brother to play with. Seo-gyeong is also bothered by the fact that So- young continues to meet with Tae-hyeon.

Sang-jin informs Ji-woo that he fell asleep in Tae-hee’s room and that he wants Ji- woo to decide how she feels about him. Ji-woo is flabbergasted. Tae-wook visits Ji- woo’s family and tells them that he thinks he and Ji-woo are a match made in heaven.

While on their way to Yangpyeong lands with Se-yeong and Ms. Song, Gyeong-sun is surprised to hear that the Yangpyeong lands were given to them by their archenemy, Yoon Choon-sik,

Tae-hyeon is concerned about his wife because he thinks she misses her father from the way she talked with him on the phone so he tells her that they should go visit her family in the U.S in spring. When Seo-gyeong replies that she can’t get away from her hospital then he asks if there is any way they could get rid of So- young. So-young contacts Bong-dal under the pretense that she owns some lands and needs his advice. She gives Bong-dal and Mal-ja gifts of expensive clothes and handbag.

When Ms. Song, Se-yeong and Gyeong-sun arrive in Yangpyeong, they find the door to the cottage open and decide to take a look around. Gyeong-sun happens to come across the gardener and asks about the owner. She goes pale when she hears that the owner is a female gynecologist living in Seoul.

Meanwhile, So-young goes to the gym that Seo-gyeong goes to and confirms that Geon-wu and Seo-gyeong has registered there as a husband and a wife.

While Jin-a is getting her appendix removed, Se-yeong is worried sick and prays desperately. Sang-jin is moved by Se-yeong’s devotion and Geon-wu is also moved by her love as well. Seo-gyeong despairs because she can’t do anything to help when she is the real mother and she becomes angry about her situation.

Tae-hee packs a lunch to eat with Sang-jin and makes the nurses at the hospital who are interested in Sang-jin jealous. So-young continues to follow Seo-gyeong and Geon-wu around. She even follows them to the hospital where Jin-a is undergoing the surgery and watches as Seo-gyeong and Geon-wu talk together at the hospital coffee shop. To confirm that Geon-wu and Seo-gyeong are having an affair and to secure the evidence, she follows Geon-wu to the pediatric ward where he works and spies on him.

Meanwhile Gyeong-sun calls Seo-gyeong and asks her if she is Yoon Seo-gyeong.

ep. 32

After confirming that the phone number she found is Seo-gyeong’s, Gyeong-sun realizes that Geon-wu is still involved with her and starts to worry. Geon-wu takes Jin-a out for a walk so that Seo-gyeong can see her and Se-yeong wonders why Seo-gyeong is hanging around Jin-a.

So-young sends a doll to Jin-a and Se-yeoung starts to wonder who sent it because no one she knew has sent the doll. She suddenly remembers Seo-gyeong and the fact that she came to Jin-a’s piano recital and has a bad feeling. Gyeong- sun interrogates Sang-jin about Geon-wu and whether he is having an affair. Sang- jin adamantly denies this.

Tae-hyeon starts to suspect something when he comes upon Seo-gyeong’s speeding ticket from Yangpyeong. He remembers how So-young insisted that Seo- gyeong is having an affair.

ep. 33

Se-yeong asks Gyeong-sun about Jin-a’s birth mother and tells her how her chest tightens as if she feels something bad is going to happen whenever she thinks about it. Gyeong-sun tells her that Geon-wu is as silent and undemonstrative as his father was when Se-yeong tells her that she feels as if Geon-wu’s body is with her but his mind and heart are elsewhere. Gyeong-sun tells her not to mention Jin-a’s birth mother anymore.

After So-young sees Seo-gyeong with Geon-wu, she calls Tae-hyeon and informs him that Seo-gyeong is with another man. Tae-hyeon is shocked and catches a cab to confront her but by the time he gets there, they have left already. Tae-hyeon tells So-young to stop playing pranks on him and doesn’t believe anything she says anymore.

While having a drink with her husband one late night, Se-yeong bursts into tears saying that she thinks Geon-wu still has feelings for Jin-a’s birth mother.

ep. 34

Tae-hyeon follows Seo-gyeong as she leaves work. He smiles as he watches her laughing and talking with her female colleagues. But when he sees her leave the gym and get into Geon-wu’s car, kissing him passionately, he is devastated. He cries silently in despair as he follows Geon-wu and Seo-gyeong.

Ji-wook pushes Jin-a’s wheelchair when she is discharged from the hospital and goes to a museum with Jin-a and Se-yeong. Bong-dal visits Jeong-suk’s jewelry store to buy a present for Mal-ja when he hears that one of the workers at his site was badly hurt. He calls Tae-hyeon but Tae-hyeon doesn’t hear the ringing of his cell-phone while he agonizes about his wife and her affair.

Feeling insecure, Se-yeong goes through her husband’s drawers. Her mother-in- law catches her in the act and tells her that she is only feeling like that because she is too tired and that she should trust Geon-wu.

ep. 35

Se-yeong cries as she tells Gyeong-sun that not having a child is bearable but that she won’t be able to bear it if Jin-a’s birth mother came and took her away. Gyeong- sun assures her that Jin-a is Se-yeong’s child no matter what and that would never happen. But she knows about the affair between Geon-wu and Seo-gyeong and secretly worries.

Seo-gyeong prepares a present for Geon-wu to celebrate their 13th anniversary. She gives it to him on their date. They both remember the day they first met and long to turn back the hands of time. Tae-hyeon is spying on them from afar, full of anger and jealousy. So-young is also there. She slashes the tires of Geon-wu’s car and is about to do the same to Seo-gyeong’s car when she sees Tae-hyeon.

Tae-hyeon comes home late that night, drunk. He hugs Seo-gyeong and Seo- gyeong is swept with guilt and remorse.
