Eps. 1
Young-ji had a dream that she lived in a luxurious house decorated with marble. However, when she wakes up, she finds herself back in reality where she has to fight for the bathroom that everyone shares. She’s late for work at the department store again and is fired. She’s depressed. When she drinks alone, Do-kyeong sees her. He recommends that she start a new savings plan. Later, they go to the amusement pa rk together. Jun-woo participates in a half-marathon race, there he meets Ah-mi for the first time. Afterwards, Jun-woo finds out that he doesn’t have any money with him. He borrows some from Ah-mi. Jun-woo shows up at his father’s birthday party in his sports apparel from the marathon and the guests who are at the party stare at him. Young-ji takes part in a storytelling contest. However, she tells about Cinderella’s dark secrets and the audience isn’t happy about her version of the story. Young-ji asks Do-kyeong to go out with her.

After being rejected by Do-kyeong, Young-ji complains to Dal-gu about her life. He tells her to take a day off, but she goes to her nighttime job ? driving a man’s car as his designated driver. However, the passenger disappears and she’s suspected of stealing the car. She’s taken to the police station. She’s released the following morning when her name gets cleared. She feels terrible about her situation. Young-ji goes to Ah-mi’s clinic and asks if her life will be changed if she changes her appearance. Later, when Ah-mi hires a driver after a night out with friends, she meets Young-ji again. When she wakes up at her house, she realizes that Young-ji fixed breakfast for her before leaving. Ah-mi invites Young-ji to dinner. Ah-mi realizes that Young-ji is an honest and sincere person. She asks Young-ji to help her by going on a blind date that she (Ah-mi) was actually supposed to go on. Young-ji meets Jun-woo on the date.

Young-ji is surprised to hear that Jun-woo is interested in her. She tries to avoid him. She decides to make him dislike her and invites him to lunch. She acts like a capricious and spoiled person. She makes unusual requests, but Jun-woo doesn’t complain at all. Young-ji realizes that she likes him. Young-ji tells Ah-mi about what happened with Jun-woo. Ah-mi gives her a laptop computer as a gift. On her way home, Young-ji runs into Do-kyeong. He apologizes to her for his rudeness. However, Young-ji ignores him. Young-ji waits for Jun-woo’s phone call. On the other hand, she isn’t comfortable about lying to him. Jun-woo wants to meet her again.

After seeing Jun-woo at the party, Young-ji hurries to leave the place with Ah-mi. The following day, Ah-mi invites Young-ji’s family to lunch. Dal-gu, Young-gu and Young-min are just happy to have a free lunch at a nice restaurant. Do-kyeong sees Ah-mi and Young-ji going to the supermarket and follows them. Ah-mi tells Do-kyeong that she’ll buy him a cup of coffee if he helps her carry the groceries. Jun-woo sees Ah-mi’s business card and has a strange feeling. He goes to Ah-mi’s clinic to meet her. Ah-mi remembers seeing Jun-woo at a marathon race before. Jun-woo pretends to come as a patient and tries to understand the whole situation. Meanwhile, Do-kyeong starts carrying out his embezzlement plan and waits for the final day.

Jun-woo asks Young-ji to explain what is going on, but she tells him to ask Ah-mi to explain. Ah-mi invites Jun-woo to dinner and he asks her to bring Young-ji with her. However, Young-ji refuses to meet Jun-woo with Ah-mi. Dal-gu tells Do-kyeong not to make Young-ji cry. Do-kyeong can’t understand why Young-ji’s father says such a thing to him. Jun-woo tells Ah-mi how she could let someone else meet her date. Ah-mi apologizes. At the same time, Young-ji is curious what Jun-woo and Ah-mi are talking about. Jun-woo and Ah-mi really hit it off. They realize that they have a lot in common. Ah-mi likes Jun-woo and she tells Lee Moon that she’ll go out with him.

Young-ji prepares breakfast and invites Ah-mi. There’s an awkward tension between the two women. Ah-mi purposely asks her how she and Do-kyeong are doing. Young-ji tells her that she’s not interested in Do-kyeong anymore. Ah-mi invites Jun-woo to dinner. Do-kyeong goes to return the briefcase and the suit he bought, but he finds out that they aren’t refundable. However, he threatens the salesperson that he won’t leave the place until he gets his money back. Young-ji is surprised to hear that Ah-mi invited Jun-woo to dinner. Jun-mi goes to meet Ah-mi at her clinic, but she ends up talking to Lee Moon instead. Jun-woo, Young-ji and Ah-mi have dinner together at Ah-mi’s house. Then Young-gu calls Young-ji.

Ah-mi wants to give Young-ji some money to bail out Young-gu, but Young-ji politely refuses saying that Ah-mi has already given her enough. Ah-mi tells Young-ji that she likes Jun-woo. She also asks her to help her get him. Young-gu and Do-kyeong start working at Seong-wol’s event management company. The three of them have a performance at the place where Ah-mi takes her belly dancing lessons. Do-kyeong sees Ah-mi and tries not to take off his mask, but Ah-mi ends up seeing him. On the grand opening day of Jun Art Center, Jun-mi remembers Young-ji driving her car as a hired driver. She tells Jun-woo about it. After the opening party, Jun-woo asks Young-ji to come to see him. The following day, Young-ji visits the art center to meet Jun-woo. Young-ji tells Jun-woo about the children’s story that she wants to write. Jun-woo promises her to do the illustration work for her storybook.

Jun-woo secretly follows Young-ji and Dal-gu to their house. Jun-woo can’t understand why she lives in such a shabby looking place. Then Jun-woo’s phone rings, so he has to hide himself so that Young-ji can’t see him. Young-ji later finds a bouquet of roses in front of her house. Jun-woo asks Ah-mi how she met Young-ji. Do-kyeong calls Ah-mi and tells her that he’ll buy her lunch. Ah-mi is surprised, but she doesn’t refuse because she thinks that he’s cute. Meanwhile, Young-ji is worried when Jun-woo doesn’t call her. Jun-woo hears from Jun-mi that Young-ji likes him. He feels good about himself and tries to call Young-ji, but she doesn’t answer.

Young-ji realizes that she has lost her cell phone. She goes back to the bookstore to look for it, but she can’t find it anywhere. Jun-woo tries to call Young-ji, but he’s disappointed to find out that her cell phone is off. Giving Young-ji her first (salary)paycheck, Ah-mi tells Young-ji that she’ll get a new phone from Lee Moon for her. Jun-woo believes that Jun-mi has said something rude to Young-ji for which she avoids his phone call. He tells Jun-mi to leave Young-ji alone. Meanwhile, Do-kyeong waits for Ah-mi in front of her house. Worried about Young-ji, Jun-woo goes to her house. Dal-gu talks about their difficult financial situation hoping that Jun-woo might help him. Young-ji sees Jun-woo’s car in front of her house. When she runs to the house, she finds that Dal-gu (pours)has poured water on Jun-woo after an argument. She gets angry with Dal-gu. The following day, Young-ji hears from Ah-mi that Jun-woo is sick. However, Ah-mi (suggest)suggests to her that they go out and have fun. Young-ji asks if Ah-mi isn’t even worried about Jun-woo. Then Ah-mi sends Jun-woo some flowers.
Eps. 10
Without telling Dal-gu, Young-ji and Young-gu decide to look for their long lost mother. They ask the police for help. Young-ji hears that they found someone who might be her mother. However, she’s (only-get rid of)disappointed to see that the woman isn’t her mother. Do-kyeong hears that his father is coming to see him. His father believes that Do-kyeong is successful in Seoul. Do-kyeong asks his friends Seong-wol and Young-gu to help him. Do-kyeong meets his father in a lobby of a big building. Young-gu and Seong-wol act as if they were Do-kyeong’s business partners from Hong Kong and Japan. Jun-woo introduces Young-ji to the publishing company. After hearing from the publishing company, Young-ji goes to Jun-woo’s art center to thank him. However, she doesn’t dare to go in. She just yells “thanks” in front of the building. Jun-woo recognizes her voice and walks out. Ah-mi’s stepsister tells Ah-mi that her mother is sick. She also makes a terrible comment about Ah-mi and her mother. Do-kyeong happens to see Ah-mi crying. He feels pity for her.

Do-kyeong invites Ah-mi to dinner. He borrows brand name clothes before he goes to meet Ah-mi. After dinner, they go dancing together. Ah-mi asks him to go to the beach. Do-kyeong is supposed to bring his clothes back by midnight, but he decides to go with Ah-mi. He asks her to become his girlfriend, but Ah-mi refuses.(get rid of it) Jun-woo goes to Young-ji’s neighborhood hoping to see Young-ji. Instead, he runs into Dal-gu who comes home from work. Jun-woo is embarrassed. Young-ji’s children’s stories are rejected by the publishing company. However, it doesn’t disappoint her much. She decides to try other publishing companies. Young-ji hears that her mother runs a big business (in)on Jeju Island.
Eps. 12
Young-ji, Young-gu and Young-min go to Jeju Island to meet their mother. Young-ji is very excited to hear Jun-woo’s message on her phone. Do-kyeong tells Jun-woo that Young-ji (goes)has gone to Jeju to meet her mother. Jun-woo decides to go to Jeju. Young-ji and Jun-woo go to the exhibition on African culture. They walk together holding hands. Jun-woo kisses Young-ji. Ah-mi finds out that Jun-woo went to Jeju. She doesn’t feel comfortable. Finally, Young-ji and her siblings meet their mother face to face. However, they sense that there’s something unusual about the woman who is supposed to be their mother.

Jun-woo asks Young-ji if she met her mother on Jeju Island. At a loss for words, Young-ji just tells him that her mother couldn’t make it because of her extended business trip. Ah-mi calls Jun-woo and asks him to go to a concert with her. However, he has to refuse since he’s with Young-ji. Unable to find anyone to go to the concert with her, Ah-mi asks Do-kyeong. He’s very excited about Ah-mi’s invitation. Young-ji decides to tell Jun-woo what really happened on Jeju. She tells him that she found out that the rich woman she met on Jeju wasn’t her real mother. Jun-woo seems more disappointed than Young-ji about the news. Young-ji buys a nice dress to wear for the party that Jun-woo mentioned. However, Jun-woo asks Ah-mi to go with him as his date. Though Ah-mi doesn’t have any other plans, she pretends to be busy. Young-ji asks Jun-woo about the party, but he lies to her by saying that it’s postponed.
Eps. 14
Young-ji tells Ah-mi that she doesn’t want to work for her anymore. Ah-mi asks her if she’s done something wrong to Young-ji. Later Young-ji is shocked to hear that Ah-mi and Jun-woo are thinking about getting married. Jun-woo makes a desk for Young-ji and brings it to her house. However, Young-ji gets angry with Jun-woo when the desk doesn’t fit through the bedroom door. He tells her to accept it as a token of his apology, but Young-ji tells him to take it back and not to call her again. Ah-mi calls Do-kyeong and the two of them have a drink together. Do-kyeong gets drunk. Not knowing where Do-kyeong lives, Ah-mi reluctantly takes him to her house. The following morning, Young-ji finds Do-kyeong sleeping in Ah-mi’s house. Young-ji criticizes Ah-mi for going out with another man while she’s thinking about marrying Jun-woo.
Eps. 15
Young-ji is surprised to notice that the desk is gone. Ah-mi feels sorry for Young-ji and apologizes. Ah-mi finds a notebook that Young-ji left behind. She happens to read Young-ji’s journal. She finds out that Young-ji has special feelings for Jun-woo. Ah-mi, Jun-woo and Jun-woo’s parents play golf together and come to Ah-mi’s house afterward. Then Young-ji walks into the house and sees them together. She walks out of the house and Jun-woo follows her. After Young-ji quits working, Ah-mi’s house becomes a mess. Meanwhile, Jun-woo seems to have a hard time focusing at work. Jun-woo asks Ah-mi why she has mentioned Young-ji to his parents. Ah-mi asks him if he loves Young-ji. On her way home, Ah-mi sprains her ankle and calls Do-kyeong and asks for help.
Eps. 16
Young-ji tells Do-kyeong that she loves Jun-woo. She also tells him that she doesn’t have any way to make Jun-woo happy. Jun-woo hears their conversation. He tells her that he was afraid of admitting it, but he’s in love with her. Jun-woo tells her that he won’t hide his feelings anymore. Young-ji knows that she can’t be with him and tells him so. However, she soon realizes that she can’t let him go, either. Young-ji and Jun-woo leave for Chung-ju. Ah-mi gets worried when she finds out that Young-ji and Jun-woo have disappeared together. Young-ji and Jun-woo have a great time. Later Jun-woo tells Ah-mi that he loves Young-ji. However, Ah-mi pretends not to care.
Eps. 17
Jun-woo’s mother and Ah-mi find Young-ji hiding in Jun-woo’s closet. They’re speechless. Young-ji tries to explain what happened, but to make things worse, Jun-woo’s father shows up, as well. Ah-mi tells Jun-woo that he can go out with Young-ji, but he can’t marry her. She tells him that she’s the one who will become his wife, not Young-ji. Ah-mi and Do-kyeong hang out together. When she goes to the grand opening of her friend’s clinic, Do-kyeong follows her. Ah-mi doesn’t want him to go with her as a date. Do-kyeong notices that Ah-mi is embarrassed to bring him with her. With his pride wounded, he walks away. Feeling bad, Ah-mi tries to call him, but he doesn’t answer the phone.
Eps. 18
Young-ji hears that Jun-woo has moved out of his parents’ house. Feeling responsible for the trouble with his parents, Young-ji decides to let him go. However, when she sees him, she realizes that she can’t break up with him. Later, Young-ji goes to Jun-woo’s art center, but she can’t meet him. He hears that Young-ji came looking for him. He goes to the supermarket where Young-ji is working. To make Young-ji feel better, Jun-woo tells her that he moved out because of work. Unable to reach Do-kyeong, Ah-mi asks Seong-wol about Do-kyeong. She finds out that he went back to his hometown. She heads to Do-kyeong’s hometown. Do-kyeong is excited to see her and surprised that Ah-mi came so far to look for him. However, he ignores her.
Eps. 19
After leaving Jun-woo’s house, Young-ji is absent-minded. She asks Dal-gu what she should do. She’s afraid that it’s time to give up Jun-woo. Jun-woo becomes angry with his parents for giving Young-min the money. He tells them that he’ll quit working at the art center and start over on his own. The following day, Young-ji apologizes to Jun-woo for her father’s rude behavior. Jun-woo apologizes to her for his parents’ rudeness, as well. Do-kyeong comes back to Seoul. However, Ah-mi avoids meeting him. She asks him to pick up her mother at the airport. He picks up her mother and takes her to Ah-mi’s clinic. The three of them have dinner together. Ah-mi’s mother likes Do-kyeong for being her daughter’s reliable boyfriend. However, Ah-mi tells her that Do-kyeong is just a friend. Do-kyeong tells Young-ji to give up Jun-woo. He also tells her that he hopes Ah-mi will find a good man.
Eps. 20 (The last episode)
After breaking up with Jun-woo, Young-ji tries to carry on with her life and work. However, she can’t help but think of Jun-woo from time to time. Jun-woo moves back to his parents’ house. He realizes that too many things around him still remind him of Young-ji. Do-kyeong tells Young-ji that he’s leaving for Kota Kinabalu. He’s surprised to hear from Young-ji that she and Jun-woo broke up. Young-ji happens to run into Jun-woo at work. Jun-woo begs her to take him back by saying that he can’t live without her. However, Young-ji turns a cold shoulder to him. Young-ji sends her children’s story to a literary contest. She receives Jun-woo and Ah-mi’s wedding invitation. She’s shocked. She pretends to be all right, but she’s devastated. Dal-gu happens to see Jun-woo wandering around the house hoping to see Young-ji. He tells Jun-woo not to come to see Young-ji since she deserves a much better person. Jun-woo and Ah-mi sit together at the dinner table. They’re about to make a very important decision.
